Trude's Dog Motel does not charge you extra money for walks or play time with your pup! We sincerely enjoy working with dogs, so this is a treat for all of us!

Does Trude's do grooming?

At this time, we are not putting dogs from different families in the play yard together. This is for the safety of your pups and our staff!

For the safety of your pet and our other residents, we do require your dog to be up-to-date on all vaccines listed below. You can contact your veterinary office to fax your dog's vaccine records to us, or we can call if that is more convenient for you. Your dogs must also be in good health. These vaccines are required for your pet to stay at Trude's Dog Motel:

  • Rabies
  • Distemper Combo
  • Bordetella​​

Those are the vaccines that are required, however we do also highly recommend:

  • Heartworm Test
  • Leptospirosis Vaccine
  • Fecal Examination
  • ​Flea/Tick & Heartworm Preventive

How much walk time or play yard time do the dogs get?

We cater exercise/play time to each dogs' needs. At the very least, they will get potty time three times a day. High energy dogs will get more exercise, dogs that prefer to lounge and relax will get more cuddle time.

Do dogs get to play with other dogs?

It is not required for your dogs to be spayed or neutered, although we will take precautions for female dogs in heat while they are staying at Trude's Dog Motel.

Which vaccines are required?

Your dog's food is required, we do not want your pup to get sick from changing diets! You may also bring treats, blankets or toys if you wish. Our runs come fully stocked with cots and comfy blankets, and we also have toys on hand. Please do not bring bowls, we have plenty!

Does my dog need to be spayed or neutered?

Trude's Dog Motel does not have the equipment for full-blown grooming, so we are unable to provide these services at this time. However, we can recommend lots of great places to get your pups bathed and groomed! If your dog gets dirty here, we'll rinse them off but this is not a bath.

What do I need to bring for my dog?

Trude's Dog Motel does not require a flea preventive to be used on pets that stay with us, but we highly recommend it. If fleas are found on your pet, we will give them a dose while they're here. The cost of this medication will be added to your boarding bill.
